We learned something

Since day 1 of third term my group have been preparing for the SOMA week, why? Its a requirement so as if we have a choice. And since day 1 preparing for SOMA week specifically our Float making is already giving us a headache. Approval of designs is the most hectic part of paperwork, first proposal rejected, second proposal revised, third proposal revised again, on fourth revision finally approved! Who would have thought that float making is hectic as hell. Despite of full effort needed, float making gave us a good experiences like making our limit limitless, time management and controlling our patience.

Being an artist requires limitless ideas, well that is given. The efforts in making things perfect, I doubted that because usually artist just do what is pleasant in his eyesight. But, I guess Im wrong, because not in everything you're the one who will decide whether it is perfect or not. Like in float, what we did is enough for us but guess what, its not. I, we, realized to win is not something that we think is enough, everything must be out of comfort zone we have in mind. Don't be afraid to do something out of the world.

Time management? That is what ABMA students usually forget, we always do the cramming stage but this time we didn't, proudly saying. What we did is everything must be according to the timeline. We didn't take granted the given deadline to us, because we concluded that there are situations that are happening in bad timing and we are right. The projects in other subjects somehow make our progress slowed down because their deadline is early than what we expected. So, I guess time management is a must not just in major things but in everything.

Controlling patience, that is the hardest part I've ever encountered during the progress. In groupings, we really can't avoid the situation wherein some of the group mates are not cooperating well, so it is a must to bring lots of patience. And I guess, I almost lost it, who wouldn't if you have a group mate totally useless then all he did is to throw tantrums like a spoiled brat. I feel sorry for him, he didn't able to do his best because of ranting instead of working. And good for me, specifically to our leader who succeeded to control all anger we had.

Every tough situations gives a good experience and learning to everyone. It may be hard and challenging but atleast we learned something that will help us lifetime. We may not win any place in Float Competition I still could say that we matured in accepting the reality. After all, being a negative thinker wouldn't help us to mature, it only proves that you are nothing like a dust who pollutes others life. Absorb all lessons and experiences that are coming then learn from it, sure thing after that, you are like technology that innovates every time.
